We witnessed the inauguration of the new MSC Seaside…
We warn you right away, if you are passionate about cruising you will love this article, if it is not you going to turn out to be!
We had the privilege of being present in Trieste at the inauguration of the new ship of MSC Cruises, MSC Seaside and we were… in love!
MSC Seaside has transported everything we have best on land!
Long gone are the days when the cruises were aimed at a 50+ age group… nowadays we can state without a doubt that it is one of the most spectacular adventures we can share with family and with many children!
In Tripto4 we already felt a great desire to go on a cruise, it grew with the visit we made to MSC SPLENDIDA in November 2016 and exploded with MSC SEASIDE, 2018 is a cruise year in Tripto4!
The Italians are famous for their design, really this MSC Seaside is one, or rather two steps forward in the cruise industry! Bravo MSC Cruises!
HOW IS THE MSC SEASIDE
The MSC SEASIDE, “the ship that follows the sun” has 153,516 tons! And 323m in length, accommodating 5,119 passengers in 2,066 cabins and 1,482 crew members, so what we see everything around looks small!
We like the numbers, but we prefer to call it bold, beautiful, innovative, technological and unique about the proximity it creates between passengers and sea.
The promenade that runs all over! The ship is the largest ever developed in the cruise industry.
Okay, let’s face it, MSC SEASIDE is a pleasure pump with no limits, six outdoor and indoor pools, 11 dining spaces, 19 bars and lounges and four teppanyaki grills, as well as the Metropolitan Theater which features a different show in every night of the week, each with four sessions!
MSC Seaside is the 14th addition to the company’s fleet and the second ship of MSC Cruises to enter service in 2017 under the industry’s unprecedented investment plan.
All new ships are designed to extend and enhance the cruise experience by always offering something new and unique. They believe that 10 more ships are coming!
MSC Seaside will travel the Caribbean all year long with departures from Miami, offering 7-night Eastern Caribbean and Western Caribbean itineraries beginning on December 23, 2017.
But let’s face it!
#1 Unique Design Features
Inspired by the beach condos that have made Miami famous, MSC Seaside has a number of innovative and distinctive design features that bring us the first WOW.
Two unique Glass Skywalk walkways (with a glass floor) and a 40-foot ‘Bridge of Sighs’ offer ocean views like never before.
The seafront promenade and lifts are also a distinguishing feature of the MSC Seaside, closer to the sea was impossible!
#2 Cabins/Family Cabins
Its unique design allows MSC Seaside to have more than 75% cabins with ocean view, many with balconies.
Decorated with traditional Italian taste, superior equipped and comfortable.
No problem at MSC Seaside, that features model/communicating cabins that can accommodate up to 10 people, some with luxurious options such as a private jacuzzi on the balcony.
#3 Entertainment on board
MSC Seaside does not only feature a full-size bowling alley, 5D cinema, a Formula 1 simulator, a casino, a multi-activity sports venue, but also the largest and most interactive water park ever built on a cruise ship.
The first attraction of Slideboarding™ on a ship, slides 160 meters long, a huge complex of water slides, park with fountains, pools and other adventures.
And if we tell you that on a 7 day cruise you can see 7 different shows, all of great quality and good taste?
Still not enough? Nightclub, several places with live music and a Sports Bar to good American taste!
#4 Baby, Mini, Junior and Teen Club + Lego Experience
Children ages 3 to 11 can participate in a number of fun activities thanks to MSC Cruises’ partnership with LEGO®.
This amenity is included in the cruise fare.
The MSC Seaside does not forget teenagers offering two clubs, one from 12 to 14 years old and another for youngsters from 15 to 17 years old.
It also has a unique area for teenagers that serves as a games room, cinema and disco.
Want an “night out” with no children, MSC Seaside has a babysitting service from 23.00 to 02.00!
#5 A digital cruise experience
The MSC for Me is the digital innovation program that uses state-of-the-art advanced technology to easily connect travelers with experiences that are important to them both at sea and on land.
Among other features, it includes Bracelets for children MSC for ME, interactive service using NFC and BLE technologies to allow crew and staff as well as parents to locate and monitor their children on the ship.
#6 An extensive gastronomic variety
MSC Seaside offers a wide choice of indoor and outdoor dining spaces with a tempting array of international restaurants.
One of the great highlights is the Asian Market Cuisine of the famous Pan-Asian chef Roy Yamaguchi.
Other distinctions include French spaces, a Steak House, along with a luxurious seafood restaurant and a pizzeria dedicated to families.
On our visit we had the opportunity to test all the concepts and we loved. For the first time on any MSC Cruises ship, MSC Seaside offers two open buffets 20 hours a day!
#7 Warmth and well-being on the high seas
MSC Seaside has the largest MSC Aurea Spa and Gymnasium of all ships in the fleet providing the latest TECHNOGYM™ equipment.
